Paralegal

Department: Georgia-LL Rep
Location: Atlanta, GA

The Shopping Center Group is currently seeking a paralegal who has real estate experience. Qualified candidates must have the ability to multitask and to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.  Strong communications skills are required to interact within the leasing department and advanced organizational skills are required to maintain files, databases, abstract leases, REAs and OEAs, listing agreements, commission agreements, purchase and sale agreements and obtain information from various sources. 

Qualifications/Requirements

The successful candidate must possess each of the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal in commercial real estate
  • AA degree or Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved institution or the Georgia Paralegal Association
  • Experience in commercial real estate transactions
  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates highest level of integrity and professionalism
  • A proven ability to independently manage and prioritize work
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Review and interpretation of lease documents

About the Job Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general direction of our Directors of Leasing, the successful candidate will:

  • Review agreements for a wide range of commercial transactions, including real estate purchase, lease, and license agreements and related amendments;
  • Draft and review vendor agreements, liability releases;
  • Support landlord accounting department with onboarding and outboarding of clients
  • Respond to and make client inquiries;
  • Research legal and factual questions and draft research memos; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Candidate must work autonomously, be part of a team, and be able prioritize multiple complex projects.
